Massachusetts restoration & repair contractors

Contractor insurance in Massachusetts, handled in your language.

Falamos português. Hablamos español. We speak English.

Much of the restoration and repair trade in Massachusetts runs in Portuguese and Spanish, and insurance is one of the last places that gets recognized. At Prevent it is the default, not an accommodation. Your coverage review, your certificates, your renewal, and your claim all happen in the language you actually think in. Then we structure the coverage to meet exactly what the repair networks require.

Em português · En español · In English

Not a translated brochure. An agent who works in your language.

Plenty of agencies put a flag on their website. Here is what it concretely means at Prevent — because the difference shows up in the moments that cost money, not on the homepage.

The coverage conversation

What your policy actually covers, where the exclusions sit, and what a general contractor's certificate request really means — explained in Portuguese, Spanish, or English. No relative brought along to translate, no nodding through a meeting.

Your documents, walked through

Applications, declarations pages, audit letters, and network requirement lists are written in dense English. We go through them with you line by line, in your language, before you sign anything.

When there's a claim

A claim is the worst possible moment to be negotiating in a second language. We deal with the adjuster and translate what is happening — and what it means for you — as it happens.

However you like to talk

WhatsApp, text, phone, or email — in Portuguese, Spanish, or English. Send a photo on WhatsApp and get an answer back the same way.

Straight about the limits: insurance policies, endorsements, and certificates are issued by carriers in English, and the English policy is the contract that governs. What we commit to is that you understand it before you sign, and that you never have to handle a renewal, an audit, or a claim in a language you don't work in.

Built for the contractors who do the real repair work.

Whether you already take insurance repair work or want to break into it, we'll get your coverage and credentials where they need to be.

Why join

One partner who understands contractors.

Network-Ready Insurance

We build your coverage to the exact specifications the repair networks demand — right limits, right endorsements, right certificate wording — so your certificates go out worded the way the networks ask for them.

One Commercial Partner

General liability, commercial auto, workers' comp, contractor's pollution, umbrella, and tools & equipment — your entire program under one roof, from an agency that knows contractors.

Year-Round Certificate Management

We track your COI renewal dates against each network's deadline and keep the certificates current, so a paperwork gap is not what costs you an assignment.

Credentialing Guidance

We point you to the licensing, certifications, and documentation the networks look for — so you qualify faster and stay eligible as you grow.

How it works

Four steps to network-ready.

STEP 1

Apply

Tell us about your business, your trades, and your current coverage. It takes about 10 minutes.

STEP 2

Review & Gap-Check

We measure your insurance and credentials against the networks' requirements and show you exactly what's missing.

STEP 3

Get Covered & Compliant

We place or restructure your coverage to meet the specs and prepare certificates worded the way the networks require.

STEP 4

Go Network-Ready

You're positioned to be vetted into the managed-repair networks — and we keep you compliant year after year.

What we look for

You don't need everything in place today.

That's what we're here for. But strong candidates typically bring:

Important — how vetting actually works

Prevent Insurance Agency is a licensed insurance agency. We help you obtain and structure the insurance coverage and documentation the repair networks require, and we guide you through credentialing. We do not own the admission decision. Whether a contractor is accepted is decided by the insurance carriers (through underwriting and eligibility) and by the third-party managed-repair networks (through their own vetting) — and many factors outside our control can prevent a contractor from being accepted. Applying and placing coverage with us prepares you to qualify; it does not by itself guarantee admission to any network or the assignment of any work.

Upload your current policies

Start by uploading all of your current insurance policies — full policies or declaration (dec) pages. We'll review them and show you exactly what to keep, add, or change to become network-ready. Add your licenses and certifications too. PDF, JPG, or PNG · up to 10 files · 75 MB each · you can also send these later.

Anything else

Your own insurance — optional

Contractors commonly have the house, the work vehicles, and the personal umbrella spread across two or three other agencies, with nobody looking at the whole picture. If you'd like, we'll review your personal side at the same time as the business. It's free, there's no obligation, and it does not affect your application either way.

By submitting, you agree that Prevent Insurance may contact you about your application and about our products and services by phone, text message, email, or WhatsApp, including via automated technology. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out at any time. We only use this information to review your application and contact you about it; it is never sold. See our Privacy Policy and SMS Terms.

We couldn't submit your application right now. Please email [email protected] or call (617) 913-4859.

FAQ

Straight answers.

Do I have to insure my business through Prevent to join?
Yes. Our vetted contractor program is built for contractors who place their commercial insurance with Prevent. Keeping your policies with us is how we actively manage your coverage — making sure it stays in force and meets each network's requirements all year — and stay close to your claims so we can protect the quality of service you deliver. If you're a good fit, we'll handle the transition with you.
Are there any fees?
The third-party repair networks and vendors set and charge their own fees, which vary by network. And depending on what's involved — for example, if you'd like Prevent to prepare and handle your credentialing paperwork — Prevent may charge a fee as well. We'll always spell out any fees up front, before you commit to anything.
Does this guarantee I'll get network jobs?
No — and any program that promises that isn't being straight with you. What we do is get you properly insured and credentialing-ready so you're eligible to be vetted into the networks. The networks control their own admission and assign work based on their own criteria.
How long does it take?
The application itself takes about 10 minutes, and we follow up within 1–2 business days. Once your licenses, certifications, and insurance policy are all in place with the required coverage, it typically takes about 15 to 30 days to hear back from the carrier and the third-party pre-vetted vendor.

Start Your Application

Prevent Insurance helps contractors obtain and maintain the insurance coverage and documentation required to become eligible for managed-repair contractor networks. Program participation and coverage placement prepare a contractor to meet network eligibility standards; they do not by themselves guarantee admission to any network or the assignment of work. Network requirements vary by network and service category and may change. All coverage is subject to carrier underwriting, terms, and eligibility.

Prevent Insurance Agency is a licensed insurance agency, not a managed-repair network. The insurance carriers and the third-party networks own all vetting and admission decisions; acceptance is never guaranteed and can be affected by factors outside our control.
